Are you looking for an honest Dosist review?
You may of heard of this brand before for dosing cannabis use. Their dose controlled products aim to help you medicate more accurately. They also have different cannabinoid ratios with added terpenes to suit your medical needs.
We don't want to waste any of your time so we will cut to the chase.
If you want to find out if their products are worth it then keep reading on. In this post we will cover everything you need to know and what people are saying about their products.
Let's dive in.
What Will I Find Out?
Who are they
Dosist is a company that primarily sells vape pens but they also sell dissolvable tablets. As of right now they have 8 dose vape pens that all have different cannabinoid ratios. Their tablets come in a pack of 30. I'll explain more about these products in a bit.
Their whole goal is to allow you to take better control over the amount you're taking in. Often times cannabis products are difficult to dose. You could theoretically work out dosages yourself but they take all the guess work out. You know exactly how much cannabinoids you're consuming.
This makes it easier to get the experience you want without over doing it.
Let's discuss what these cannabinoids are so you know what to expect.
What are cannabinoids?
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD) are two primary cannabinoids found in cannabis. They each have different effects so it's important to know the differences so you know which pen to get.
Tetrahydrocannabinol gives users that psychoactive high whereas CBD (legal in all states) does not. The effects are both quite similar, however the best way to tell them apart is by its psycho-activity.
THC alone WILL get you high and CBD alone will NOT get you high. But what happens when you combine the two?
Well this is where cannabinoid ratios play a role in what you will experience.
Cannabinoid ratios shows you how dominant each cannabinoid is. These numbers can vary. Some common examples in cannabis flower strains are:
If a strain is mostly psychoactive for example a 5:1 ratio then you will experience a more psychoactive effect. However if you flip that around to 5:1 ratio (CBD-dominant) then you will experience less psychoactive effects and more relaxation.
I hope that makes sense. Now let's talk about the Dosist formulas and each dose pen a bit more.
They use targeted formulas that contain cannabinoids for different medical uses. Each one being scientifically designed using cannabis analytics and customer feedback.
Their formulas contain distilled cannabis oil and organic terpenes. Most importantly all their products are lab tested for cannabinoid potency and are free from contaminants.
Dosist dose vapes (2 versions)
Before I talk about their product line, I quickly want to mention that there are two versions of the Dosist pen.
There's disposable and rechargeable. Their disposable version has 100 doses and then you can throw it away, hence "disposable". Their rechargeable pens however has 200 doses which can be recharged and you can replace the pods to use the pen again.
Each dose is 2.5mg so the disposable pen has 250mg and the rechargeable has 500mg.
Dosist dose dial (edible)
If you are someone who doesn't like the idea of inhaling anything in your lungs or even want to learn how to do that, this product might appeal to you.
Dosist applies the same principle of dosing your cannabis but with edibles. Dosist dose dial is a device that delivers a 3.7mg dissolvable tablet. I'm assuming it's motstly psychoactive, however they don't mention it. Each device has 30 tablets.
You want to be careful if you're thinking about using these. Edibles take longer to feel the effects but they last a long time and you may hate it if you take too much.
The Dosist vape pen review
They have five main vape pens but they also have three extra which are more potent called THC-Plus. You'll see what I mean down below.
Bliss (THC dominant)
Bliss has a 9:1 ratio. It's the second most potent pen on this list. It gives you a typical euphoric and uplifting high. It's a pen that you want to share with friends.
Sleep (THC dominant)
This has a 8:1 ratio. Using mostly psychoactive strains aren't really for me when it comes to sleep. If anything they keep me up and I have to smoke a lot to fall asleep but I wake up feeling groggy the next day. The sleep pen did the exact same thing I expected.
Calm (CBD dominant)
Calm is exactly what it says, it makes you calm. This 10:1 ratio and gives you that uplifting effect but it's not overpowering. Even in higher quantities you won't get super smacked. This terpenes in this formula contains Myrcene which is good for pain and Limonene which gives you a Sativa effect. This pen is perfect for those who still want to be functional and it's great for those with anxiety.
Relief (THC dominant)
The relief pen has a 2:1 ratio. This ratio is quite popular especially with patients. The effects are more subtle and does what it says which is to relieve symptoms. I found this pen best for after workouts and near bed time.
Arouse (THC dominant)
This has a 10:1 ratio. Straight up I already knew this was a marketing gimmick which sounds appealing but the reality is different. It will not somehow make you more horny or "intensify" your orgasm if that's what you're expecting. Cannabis is an enhancer in general so any of these vape pens will enhance your sexual experiences.
This vape pen is no longer featured on their site and we couldn't find any in the stores so I'm guess they no longer sell these. Anyways moving on...
So far we've covered the main five of Dosist vape pens. They also have THC-plus versions of Bliss, Arouse and Relax. This means it's even more potent than the others.
Warning this is not for beginners or those interested in trying cannabis for the first time. This is only for experienced cannabis users or those who need it for medical reasons.
What we like
Each product is lab tested
Every pen that you buy is lab tested. You can enter in the batch number on their website and see a full lab report. This is huge because that means you know every product you buy from them is legit. Not only that but you can have a peace of mind because it doesn't contain any harmful substances.
They use innovative technology
The whole concept of dosing your cannabis is a good idea that has actually been delivered to the market. Dosist has done a great job of making their pens for different types of people.
Each product is user specific (formula finder, chat)
If you're unsure about which pen to pick, they have have support on their website. You can use their formula finder or speak to someone on their site to ask more about their pens.
Their pens barely smell. If you're someone who reeks of weed from smoking flower then vaping Dosist may pique your interest. If you vape their products you can take it anywhere without drawing any attention. For example if you're at the movies or you want to hide the smell from your roommates you can vape without stinking up the place.
What we don't like
There's limited options
They could've made some formulas that contain more CBD-dominant pens. Most of their pens are highly psychoactive which some people may not like.
You cannot order from them directly
If you've noticed you cannot ordered on Dosist website. You can either get it from a 3rd party website or use their map to find out the nearest stores to you.
Dosist isn't cheap. It's around $40 for a disposable pen which might sound ridiculous for some. However the rechargeable option is $100 and the pods aren't that expensive to replace.
What others have said
- Calm pen works and taste great amazing company.and I smoke tuff
- Dosist Bliss is my favorite. 1 big hit is perfect for me. First got it in California a couple years ago.
- Bought a pen. Never worked properly. Expensive product that doesn’t really deliver.
- The battery of mine died after less then3 hours of that. , too expensive weak product
- Is it just my pen or does this dose pen not give much smoke?
- You're really just paying for the branding...
- This is more than childproof. I’m twenty still can’t open this up.
Dosist have some great products but I feel they still have a lot more to offer in the future. They are fairly new to the market but they are off to a great start.
Their products can be used by both medical and recreational users. We recommend getting a CBD product to counteract some of the negatives caused by THC such as paranoia, grogginess etc. The best brand you can get them from is CBDPure.
Does dosist get you high?
In short yes they will. All of their vape pens contain THC which is the psychoactive compound in cannabis. How high you get will depend on its cannabinoid profile. Their cannabinoid ratios range from extremely high THC to more CBD dominant pens.
How much does a dosist pen cost?
Dosist has two different pens. One is disposable and contains 100 doses, and the other is rechargeable and contains 200 doses. The disposable pen cost $40 and the rechargeable cost $100.
